Excellent, thanks for that suggestion.  I turned off the content network on the ads, since you're correct that it doesn't deliver much in the way of results.

We've definitely been hibernating with the bears (and various felines) down here, but did manage to take a vacation to Sedona, AZ last week.  We still need to hike Mt. Mansfield &#38; Camel's Hump, so I'll ping you when we've built up our hiking fitness!

Just turn off the content network for Ad Words.  I was talking with a good friend who spends his days optimizing ad campaigns and he's only seen positive ROI once or twice coming through the content network.

I was looking over the Ad Words reports for the campaigns for TrashFlow.com, they were spending 60% of their ad budget on the content network but only getting 5% of their leads that way.  Switching the full budget over to the search terms let the ads run for more of the day on the search engine and the leads improved.  Hopefully it'll do the same for you.
